Devonte Hynes

Devonté Hynes is an English singer, songwriter, producer, and composer. He was a member of the dance-punk band Test Icicles before recording solo work as Lightspeed Champion and, subsequently, Blood Orange. As Blood Orange, he has released albums including Cupid Deluxe (2013), Freetown Sound (2016), and Negro Swan (2018). Hynes has written for or produced numerous artists, including Solange, Sky Ferreira, and Carly Rae Jepsen. He also composes for film and television, with scores for works like Palo Alto (2013), Queen & Slim (2019), and Passing (2021).
