Cowboy Junkies

Cowboy Junkies are an alternative country and folk rock band formed in Toronto, Canada, in 1985. The group consists of siblings Margo Timmins (vocals), Michael Timmins (guitar, songwriter), and Peter Timmins (drums), along with bassist Alan Anton. Cowboy Junkies gained wide recognition with their second album, The Trinity Session, recorded in 1987 at Toronto's Church of the Holy Trinity. That album, recorded with a single microphone, featured original songs and covers, including their version of The Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane." Their debut album was 1986's Whites Off Earth Now!!.
