DJ Shadow

DJ Shadow, born Joshua Davis on June 29, 1972, in San Jose, California, is a pioneering figure in the genres of trip hop and downtempo music. He grew up in a middle-class family and began experimenting with music during his college years. He gained fame with his debut album, "Endtroducing.....," notable for being entirely composed of samples. DJ Shadow is known for his intricate production techniques and was pivotal in the development of instrumental hip-hop.
