Haruomi Hosono

Haruomi Hosono is a Japanese musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Tokyo. Hosono is a founding member of the influential bands Happy End (1969-1972) and Yellow Magic Orchestra (1978-1984, with subsequent reunions). His career began in 1969 with the psychedelic rock band Apryl Fool. He has released numerous solo albums, including his 1973 debut Hosono House, and has composed for film. Hosono has also produced records for a wide range of artists, including Miharu Koshi, Sandii & the Sunsetz, and Seiko Matsuda.
