Born from Japan's Nico Nico Douga scene, the core unit of composers Gom and shito, alongside illustrator Yamako, began crafting their sprawling "Confession Executive Committee Love Series" in the early 2010s. Each track, often first voiced by Vocaloids like Gumi before being handed to human collaborators like CHiCO, unfolds another chapter in an interconnected world of teenage romance. This universe, soundtracked by their bright, propulsive pop-rock, soon expanded into anime and novels, finding a massive new audience when their song “Kawaikute gomen” became a viral TikTok hit in 2022, proving their meticulously crafted storytelling still hits a nerve.
