Tenacious D

Tenacious D is a comedy rock duo from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994 by actors and musicians Jack Black and Kyle Gass. The band gained a following with a short-lived HBO series in the late 1990s before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2001, which featured Dave Grohl on drums. Tenacious D starred in their own film, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, released in 2006 with an accompanying soundtrack album. Subsequent studio albums include Rize of the Fenix (2012) and Post-Apocalypto (2018), the latter of which was released with a YouTube animated series.
