G.Q.

G.Q is a Bronx-based funk/disco outfit best known for Disco Nights (Rock-Freak), a 1979 crossover hit that helped define late-70s dancefloors; the name reportedly stood for "good quality." On SoundCloud (gqmusic), the latest public uploads date to 2020, mostly medleys and covers, with no newer posts since then. Emanuel LeBlanc—billed as Mr. Q—still tours as G.Q, though there hasn’t been major new studio material since the early 1980s.
