Vanessa Carlton

Vanessa Carlton, born on August 16, 1980, is best known for her pop and soft rock music, particularly her hit "A Thousand Miles." Raised in Milford, Pennsylvania, she displayed musical talent early, beginning piano lessons at age two. Her mother is a pianist and her father an aviator. Carlton attended the School of American Ballet before pursuing music. Known for her melodic piano-driven songs and introspective lyrics, she continues to perform and release new music.
