Some artists build a career; Vivid Fever Dreams is documenting a collapse in real time. With a relentless output that already totals over thirty releases, this project feels less like a bid for attention and more like a compulsion to get the noise out. Listening to a track like the tellingly-titled “Brain Damage” is like finding a corroded cassette from some lost, early ‘90s noise-rock band—guitars sound recorded through a busted speaker, vocals howl from the back of the mix, and drum machines clatter with manic energy.
