Before George Clanton built his 100% Electronica empire, there was ESPRIT 空想. This was his key vaporwave vessel, the project that offered a high-definition alternative to the genre’s dial-up decay in the early 2010s. The landmark virtua.zip (2014) wasn’t just a sample collage but a work of pure digital fantasy, meticulously crafting crystalline pop hooks from the ghost of corporate muzak.
