Fennesz

Christian Fennesz is an Austrian guitarist, composer, and electronic musician. Active since the 1990s, he uses guitar and laptop to create compositions that blend melody with glitch textures and processed samples. Fennesz first performed with the experimental rock band Maische before releasing his solo debut album, Hotel Paral.lel, in 1997. His 2001 album Endless Summer was followed by Venice in 2004. He has collaborated with artists including Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Sylvian, Jim O'Rourke, and Peter Rehberg, with the latter two as the trio Fenn O'Berg.
