2 Chainz is a rapper from College Park, Georgia, born Tauheed Epps. He initially gained recognition as Tity Boi, one half of the Southern hip-hop duo Playaz Circle with Earl "Dolla Boy" Conyers. Signed to Ludacris's Disturbing tha Peace label, the duo was known for their 2007 single "Duffle Bag Boy," featuring Lil Wayne. After changing his name in 2011, he signed a solo contract with Def Jam Recordings. His 2012 solo debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, reached number one on the Billboard 200.
