My Tam

My Tam is a singer and songwriter from Da Nang, Vietnam. Born Phan Thị Mỹ Tâm on January 16, 1981, she has been active professionally since 1999 after studying vocal music at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory. In 2014, the IFPI certified her as the best-selling artist in Vietnam, and she received a World Music Award for the achievement. Her 2017 album, Tâm 9, became the first from a Vietnamese artist to appear on the Billboard World Albums chart, debuting at number ten. In 2008, she founded the My Tam Foundation charity organization.
