JG Thirlwell

JG Thirlwell is an Australian composer, producer, and musician based in Brooklyn, New York. Born James George Thirlwell in Melbourne, he moved to London in 1978 and then to New York City in 1983. He is known for his work under numerous pseudonyms, most notably Foetus, as well as Manorexia, Steroid Maximus, and Clint Ruin. Thirlwell composed the musical scores for the animated television series The Venture Bros. and Archer. He has released over thirty albums and has collaborated with artists including Lydia Lunch, Nick Cave, and Nine Inch Nails, while also receiving commissions from ensembles such as Kronos Quartet.
