Colonel Abrams

Colonel Abrams (1949–2016) was an American singer and songwriter from Detroit, Michigan, known for a style that blended R&B with house music. Raised in New York City, he was a member of early groups including Conservative Manor and 94 East, the latter of which briefly featured Prince on guitar. Abrams achieved international success as a solo artist with his self-titled 1985 debut album on MCA Records. The album produced several club hits, including "Trapped" and "I'm Not Gonna Let You," both of which topped the U.S. dance charts.
