Jeff Beck (1944-2023) was an English guitarist who first gained prominence as a member of the Yardbirds. He later founded and led the Jeff Beck Group, which featured vocalist Rod Stewart and bassist Ron Wood, and the trio Beck, Bogert & Appice. Beginning with his 1975 album Blow by Blow, Beck moved toward an instrumental style focused on jazz fusion, releasing albums that also incorporated blues rock and hard rock. He was a multiple Grammy Award winner and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on two separate occasions.
