Light Of The World

Light Of The World are a British jazz-funk band formed in London in 1978. An early act in the Brit funk movement, the group's original lineup included Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick, Kenny Wellington, and David Baptiste. The band released its debut album in 1979 on Ensign Records, achieving UK chart hits with singles such as "Swingin'" and a cover of "I Shot the Sheriff." After lineup changes, which saw some members form Beggar & Co., a version of the band led by Gee Bello and Nat Augustin released the album Jazz Funk Power in 2020.
