MXMS

MXMS is the multimedia project of singer Ariel Levitan and pianist-producer Jeremy Dawson. Formed in Los Angeles in 2013, the name is an abbreviation for "me and my shadow." The duo describes their music as "funeral pop," often utilizing analog instruments like piano, organ, and synthesizers. Outside of their own releases, such as the 2019 EP `Funeral Pop I`, Levitan and Dawson have collaborated on fashion and theatre projects, including a runway show with designer Asher Levine and performances for New York's Sleep No More immersive theater production.
