Bush Tetras

Bush Tetras are a post-punk and no wave band formed in New York City in 1979. The group’s long-standing lineup included vocalist Cynthia Sley, guitarist Pat Place (formerly of The Contortions), bassist Laura Kennedy, and drummer Dee Pop. They became a notable act in the downtown Manhattan club scene with their 1980 single, "Too Many Creeps." After disbanding in 1983, the group began reuniting intermittently in 1995. Following the death of Dee Pop in 2021, Bush Tetras recorded the 2023 album They Live in My Head with drummer Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth.
